This inspiration for this post comes from my little sister, you know how almost every Nigerian secondary school calls hairstyles for every female student and you cannot do something else because you would be punished if you don’t follow the rules. Last week I realized that there are times these students don’t even know how some of the hairstyles look like and it would be difficult to explain to the hairstylist what you want to do when you don’t know it.
My sister came home last week and said the hairstyle for the next week is called June 12, funny thing is I remember doing that particular hairstyle in school but the problem was that, I couldn’t remember what it looked like exactly and she also had no idea. So I told her confidently “check google it should be there” well google as never failed me before so I was shocked when she couldn’t find the hairstyle, we tried every keyword possible but we only saw a few hairstyles with the names and they were the common ones, the ones we knew. I decided then to write a post gathering a few hairstyles that I knew the names with photos I got online, so when anyone else decides to look for a particular hairstyle online maybe this post would help.
The photos were gotten online, which helped to bring together this post but the problem was a few had the names, some did others didn’t and they were for different purposes, like “how to take care of your kid’s hair”, “beads to use” and so on, they are helpful for people who need to learn those things but not those who are looking for what a particular hairstyle looks like.

Experimenting with artificial products on children’s hair will, in the long run, produce negative results such as breakage, increased dandruff, reduced growth, and in some cases, no more growth. If you have to retouch your child’s hair, always use products prescribed for their age. For those who wish, if you have already started seeing the adverse effects of artificial product, stylists advise starting over, by going for the big chop. It is best to always use natural products for children’s hair to ensure best results.
It is not out of place for a girl to hate going to a particular stylist, and you see children flocking to one. When your child weeps for good reason at the stylist’s salon listen to what the child is actually trying to say.
